Easy Okra fry recipe | Bhindi masala recipe in English

  Here we have given the recipe of Masala Okra (Bhindi) in a very easy way, so that you can make it very quickly. Okra (Bhindi) Masala is a staple Indian dish made with okra, whole and ground spices, herbs, onions & tomatoes. This semi dry curry goes very well as a side with rice or roti. It is mildly spicy, hot & full of flavors that comes from the pan fried bhindi and garam masala.Containing only 33 calories in every 100 grams, bhindi is a good option for people wanting to lose weight. The high fibre content makes you feel full for longer and lowers intake of calories.

Ingredients :

  • Okra (bhindi)300 grams
  • 1 Chopped Onion (medium size) 
  • 2 chopped Green chili 
  • Garlic cloves 5 (chopped) 
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoon
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin powder 
  •  Salt to taste
  •  Turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon
  • Garam masala
  •  1/2 tablespoon Red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Red chili flakes 
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dry mango powder 
  •  Coriander powder

Recipe for Okra : 

  • Wash 300 grams Okra (bhindi) thoroughly and remove the stem. Then cut the Okra (bhindi ) (round or long according to your choice). 
  • Now Heat 2 tablespoon oil in the pan. 
  • Add 1/2 tablespoon cumin seeds then  chopped garlic, 2 chopped green chilli, chopped onion, chopped okra and mix well. 
  • Add 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder, salt as per taste and fry well for 10 to 12 minutes
  • Then add 1 tablespoon red chili flakes, 1/2 tablespoon mango powder, 1 tablespoon coriander powder, 1/4 garam masala, 1/2 tablespoon red chili powder and fry for 2 minutes on low frame.

Your spicy, tangy great masala okra dish is ready.  serve hot and enjoy
