 Ingridients : 

  • White Chana(Gram) 200 grams 
  • Two chopped onions
  •  Two chopped Tomatos
  •  Salt To Taste
  •  Oil 3 tablespoon
  •  Cumin seeds 1/2 tablespoon 
  • Dry mango powder 1/2 tablespoon (optional) 
  • Two Black cardamom 
  • Two bay leaf
  • chopped garlic 1 tablespoon
  • Two chopped Green Chilli 
  •  ginger Garlic Paste 1 tablespoon
  •  Turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon
  • Deggi chilli powder 1 tablespoon
  • Red Chilli powder 1/4 tablespoon
  •  Coriander powder 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tablespoon 
  • garm Masala (spice blends) powder 1/2 tablespoon

Recipe for chana masala : 

  •  First of all, keep white Chana (gram) to soaked with hot or cold water for 7 to 8 hours.
  • Now take the soaked gram in a pressure cooker and add as much fresh water as the gram is immersed in it.
  • Add 2 black cardamom, 2 bay leaf and salt as per taste and cover the cooker, cook till 1 whistle and turn off the flame, then keep the cooker closed for 20 minutes.
  • Now, take 3 tbsp oil in fry pan, 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp chopped garlic and cook on medium flame. 
  • Now add chopped green chilli and 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and cook on medium flame. 
  • Now add chopped tomatoes and cook well on high flame. 
  • Now add 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp degi chilli powder, 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder, 1/2 coriander powder, 1/2 tbsp cumin powder, add some water to roast the masala and till oil separates cook well. 
  • Now add dry mango powder (optional),and 1/2 tbsp garm masala. 
  • This masala is ready now. (do not keep the masala dry) 
  • Now after 20 minutes strain the chana(grams) from the cooker and Add in masala, then cook for 2 to 3 minutes. And add fresh chopped coriander.
